Established in 1998 the Mitsubishi HOPE team is an employee run philanthropy team that provides volunteer time and financial support to a variety of non-profit organizations in the community.

Organizations we have worked with include Special Olympics, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, American Cancer Society and Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. Over the past few years the teams efforts have been focused on providing support to localized organizations that focus on children’s disabilities.

We are proud to support the following:

  • Intervention Center for Early Childhood – www.iceckids.org
  • Blind Children’s Learning Center – www.blindkids.org
  • SeaStar School for Neuroeducation & Brain Injury Foundation
  • Dayle McIntosh Center for Independent Living – www.daylemc.org

With the support of our company employees and vendors we’ve raised over $80,000 for these organizations and spent close to 1,500 hours volunteering our time.

You can read more about our projects in the current newsletter.

We are also fortunate to have the support of the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation – www.meaf.org.

Located in Arlington, VA t he mission of our Foundation is to help young people with disabilities to maximize their potential and participation in society. The Foundation provides national grants to projects and organizations throughout the United States, giving preference to areas where our company facilities are located.

The Foundation also supports charitable giving by Mitsubishi Electric US employees, and encourages them to contribute their time and talent to strengthen their local communities. Through matching grants and gifts, employees can collectively or individually contribute to organizations within the Foundation's mission.

A Culture of Philanthropy

The Mitsubishi Electric US companies are committed to being socially responsible corporate citizens. In the spirit of the "Starfish" parable the companies seek to improve society by making a difference in individual lives. The Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan extends this culture of giving to its subsidiaries around the world.
