Three Northern stores now feature
Mitsubishi Photo Kiosks with
high-speed Mitsubishi digital photo printers
January 9, 2007—Liebe Drug Stores has recently installed
three Mitsubishi Imaging DPS Kiosk 9000 digital photofinishing
systems to meet a growing consumer demand for immediate,
yet high-quality digital prints. Now offering self-service
prints at a speed not previously available, Liebe Drug Stores
has seen an increase in its average order size as a result
of the updated equipment .
Liebe Drug Stores (located in Milbank, South Dakota, Ortonville,
Minnesota and Appleton, Minnesota) have each been equipped
with a Mitsubishi DPS Kiosk 9000 system. The Ortonville
and Appleton stores have photofinishing systems that include
two Mitsubishi CP-9550DW digital photo printers, producing
4 x 6 prints. In addition to two CP-9550DW printers, the
Milbank store also has a CP-3020DAU for 8 x 10 and 8 x 12
prints.
“With the main growth in the retail photo market
stemming from the digital end, we wanted to stay competitive
and offer more in-store digital services to our customers,”
said Sheri Hammer, Photo Manager for Liebe Drug Stores.
“Not only did we like the feature set of the Mitsubishi
Digital Photo Kiosks, but we also appreciated the appearance
of the units – an important element in our retail
environment.”.
These new Mitsubishi digital photo-processing units are
not Liebe Drug Stores’ first experience with photo
kiosks. “We did have kiosk systems in these three
locations previously, but we were only able to print 4 x
6 prints in store with the old units and had to send out
everything else,” explained Hammer. “With our
new units, we are now able to offer our customers more in-store
photo services at a faster speed instead of jobbing them
out, which has saved time and money for our customers, as
well as our stores.”
In addition to printer quality and speed, Liebe Drug Stores
also wanted to make sure the units would receive adequate
manufacturer support. “When researching photo kiosk
products, customer support was a major factor in our buying
decision,” said Hammer. “Mitsubishi’s
customer support staff has been very helpful to us during
this process and we have had a very positive experience
with the units since the purchase.”
Liebe customers have taken notice of the new units and
faster processing speeds as well. The stores currently have
the CP-9550DW printers both set for 4 x 6 prints, enabling
customers to print orders twice as quickly. “Our customers
have really responded,” said Hammer. “Since
installation, we have experienced an increase in the average
size of our orders.”
Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc. currently
offers the DPS Kiosk 7000 and DPS Click 5000 photofinishing
kiosk systems available with dye sublimation printers CP-9550DW-U
(outputting to 4 x 6, 5 x 7, and 6 x 9 prints) and CP-3020DAU
(outputting to 8 x 10 and 8 x 12 prints). Underscoring Mitsubishi’s
confidence in the reliability and durability of its printers,
the company backs every digital photo printer with an industry-leading
24-hour Express Replacement Assistance program.
