March 8, 2007 — Reaffirming its dedication to the
photo processing dealer community, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics
America Imaging Products will showcase a full line of high-quality
kiosks and digital photo printers at PMA 2007 in Las Vegas . On display in booth
M150, attendees can walk right into a simulated retail environment with the new
Flexible Photo Lab Solution. Once there, PMA attendees can operate Mitsubishi’s
DPS Kiosk 7000 or DPS Click 5000 digital photo processing systems outputting
to industry-leading digital photo printers.
“Mitsubishi’s Flexible Photo Lab demonstration
will allow end-users to operate our digital photo printers
and kiosks to fully conceptualize the photo processing
system as it would appear in the store environment,” said
Darla Achey, marketing specialist, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics
America Imaging Products. “Our goal is to transport
the customer off the trade show floor and immerse them
into Mitsubishi photo processing.”
Within the Flexible Photo Lab Solution, Mitsubishi will
feature the DPS Kiosk 7000 instant digital
photo processing system. Imminently available with a new
credit card payment processing capability, the DPS Kiosk
7000 represents the most advanced processing and printing
technologies available, providing high-performance processing
in a straightforward user-friendly system. The DPS Kiosk
7000 features an easy-to-navigate menu system, offering photo
editing and enhancement features such as customized photographs
with frames and borders, as well as functions such as cropping,
redeye removal, magnification and zoom. The versatile DPS
Kiosk 7000 includes a user-friendly 17” SXGA touch
screen and can be placed on a retail counter or photo pedestal
base.
Also on display at PMA 2007, the DPS Click 5000 is
a self-contained photo processing unit. The DPS Click 5000
delivers high quality prints and can be used by in-store
retailers or onsite event photographers. With its network
capability, the DPS Click 5000 makes it ideal for retail
store applications where it can be used as an entire processing
center – routing jobs to a minilab or laboratory,
receiving jobs from a Mitsubishi DPS Kiosk 7000 and performing
high-end photo manipulation such as zoom, crop, magnify,
and redeye removal, as well as color balance, brightness,
contrast and saturation controls.
Capable of printing without a computer, event photographers
will find the DPS Click 5000 quite a useful tool by reducing
the amount of equipment necessary at an event. Additionally,
the affordable DPS Click 5000 features a new user-interface
design and includes a new carousel feature ideally suited
to the event photographer’s business.
Using the carousel feature, the Mitsubishi DPS Click
5000 can be connected via VGA adaptor to a secondary monitor
or external screen. Running in the background of the Click
system, the carousel feature enables an event photographer
to simultaneously run an uninterrupted slideshow of his
or her photos, while operating the DPS Click 5000 unit
to navigate the system and print selected photos. Each
photo is automatically given a number in the system so
event attendees can simply jot down the number of the photo
they would like to receive.
Supported by Mitsubishi’s high-performance digital
photo printers, the DPS Kiosk 7000 and DPS Click 5000 systems
offer multiple printer hook-ups and provide several output
print sizes. Printers currently available from Mitsubishi
for use with the DPS Kiosk 7000 and DPS Click 5000 include
the CP-9550DW-U providing 4 x 6, 5 x 7
and 6 x 9 prints, and the CP-3020DAU outputting
to 8 x 10 and 8 x 12 prints. Mitsubishi’s digital
photo printers are backed by Mitsubishi’s Express
Replacement Assistance program, virtually guaranteeing
24/7 uninterrupted business performance to professional
photographers and photo retailers.
