MITSUBISHI GIVES USERS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS WITH THEIR HYBRID DX-TL5716U DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER

IRVINE, California (September 21, 2009)– Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Security Division today announced the release of the DX-TL5716U, the company’s first high-end hybrid DVR capable of capturing images from not only analog cameras but IP cameras as well. The DX-TL5716U is compatible with major IP camera suppliers including Axis, Sony and Panasonic, and provides an easy solution for anyone changing to IP, but still using analog as well.

The DX-TL5716U is one of Mitsubishi’s most versatile DVRs to date. It comes complete with 5 different screen types, 16 different channels that allow for superb live monitoring, and a new MPEG4 image compression engine for long term data capturing on small file sizes. The PTZ Camera Control that comes standard on all DX-TL5716Us lets users control the cameras with keys on the DVR, a mouse, keyboard, or through a network. The security system has three different password levels that allow multiple levels of security personnel to operate the same system.

“The DX-TL5716U, although high performance, is also very easy to use,” said Jeff Kiuchi, security market product specialist, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics. “With its unique “1-2 copy” feature, you can quickly and easily copy images to its built in CD/DVD drive or USB flash memory via simply pressing the copying button twice.”

The two-way live audio can be routed through LAN with PC application software, which makes for even higher levels of monitoring and security. The monitoring station provides alarmed camera events and five different screen types – with the XGA output that supports much higher resolution than the VGA monitors. The DX-ZD6UE can even be attached for expandable storage.

This is a terrific buy for anyone who wants an optimal, combined IP-analog security storage solution at an affordable price,” continued Kiuchi. “It provides the highest level of security with three separate recording speeds, and all DVRs come with a 5-year warranty that provides express replacement if needed.”
